How does it work?

SmartPower's “goal” is to hibernate (or sleep) your computer. Use the SmartPower configuration utility to tell SmartPower when the computer should stay on (and turn on) – at all other times your computer will be automatically hibernated.

Do I need it?

SmartPower is particularly suited to any computer that would normally need to be left on 24 hours a day, but which spends a significant portion of the day unused. For example: office servers, home servers, office PCs and home theatre PCs.
